Salamence is especially weak against Ice type Pokemon, they will deal 4x damage to it!

The types that are strong against Salamence are Ice, Fairy, Rock type Pokemon.

For the best defense, Steel types have very effective defense against Salamence, and will be resistant to damage from Salamence's STAB attacks:

Dragon types will also deal super-effective damage against Salamence, but be careful using Pokemon of this type because they may also receive extra damage from some of Salamence's attacks!

Weaknesses

Salamence's type is Dragon and Flying.

Salamence is especially vulnerable to Ice attacks, it will receive a super effective four times (4x) the amount of damage! Since Ice type Pokemon are especially strong against Salamence, you should attack with this type of Pokemon.

Salamence has a weakness to Ice, Dragon, Fairy, Rock types. These Pokemon types will be strong against Salamence, causing Salamence to take a super effective quadruple (4x) damage from Ice type attacks, and causing Salamence to take a super effective double (2x) damage from Dragon, Fairy, Rock type attacks.

Ground type attacks will have no effect on Salamence, as Salamence is immune to this type of damage! Please avoid these types of attacks.
