Onix is especially weak against Grass and Water type Pokemon, they will deal 4x damage to it!

The types that are strong against Onix are Grass, Water, Fighting, Ground type Pokemon.

Ice and Steel types will also deal super-effective damage against Onix, but be careful using Pokemon of this type because they may also receive extra damage from some of Onix's attacks!

Weaknesses

Onix's type is Rock and Ground.

Onix is especially vulnerable to Grass and Water attacks, it will receive a super effective four times (4x) the amount of damage! Since Grass and Water type Pokemon are especially strong against Onix, you should attack with this type of Pokemon.

Onix has a weakness to Grass, Water, Fighting, Ground, Ice, Steel types. These Pokemon types will be strong against Onix, causing Onix to take a super effective quadruple (4x) damage from Grass and Water type attacks, and causing Onix to take a super effective double (2x) damage from Fighting, Ground, Ice, Steel type attacks.

Electric type attacks will have no effect on Onix, as Onix is immune to this type of damage! Please avoid these types of attacks.

Please keep in mind that Onix is resistant to attacks from Bug, Fire, Flying, Normal, Rock, Poison types, and these attacks are not very effective and cause reduced damage, so they should be avoided.
