For the best defense, Steel types have very effective defense against Naganadel, and will be resistant to damage from Naganadel's STAB attacks:

Dragon types will also deal super-effective damage against Naganadel, but be careful using Pokemon of this type because they may also receive extra damage from some of Naganadel's attacks!

Weaknesses

Naganadel's type is Poison and Dragon.

Naganadel has a weakness to Dragon, Ground, Ice, Psychic types. These Pokemon types will be strong against Naganadel, causing Naganadel to take a super effective double (2x) damage from attacks of those types.

Please keep in mind that Naganadel is resistant to attacks from Electric, Fighting, Fire, Poison, Water, Grass types, and these attacks are not very effective and cause reduced damage, so they should be avoided.
