Altaria is especially weak against Ice type Pokemon, they will deal 4x damage to it!

The types that are strong against Altaria are Ice, Fairy, Rock type Pokemon.

For the best defense, Steel types have very effective defense against Altaria, and will be resistant to damage from Altaria's STAB attacks:

Dragon types will also deal super-effective damage against Altaria, but be careful using Pokemon of this type because they may also receive extra damage from some of Altaria's attacks!

Weaknesses

Altaria's type is Dragon and Flying.

Altaria is especially vulnerable to Ice attacks, it will receive a super effective four times (4x) the amount of damage! Since Ice type Pokemon are especially strong against Altaria, you should attack with this type of Pokemon.

Altaria has a weakness to Ice, Dragon, Fairy, Rock types. These Pokemon types will be strong against Altaria, causing Altaria to take a super effective quadruple (4x) damage from Ice type attacks, and causing Altaria to take a super effective double (2x) damage from Dragon, Fairy, Rock type attacks.

Ground type attacks will have no effect on Altaria, as Altaria is immune to this type of damage! Please avoid these types of attacks.

Please keep in mind that Altaria is resistant to attacks from Bug, Fighting, Fire, Water, Grass types, and these attacks are not very effective and cause reduced damage, so they should be avoided.
